X-Men was created by Jack Kirby and Stan Lee, although it was definitely more Kirby than Lee. Originally published by Marvel in 1963, the comic series is still alive and well today. The X-Men are a group of mutants who try to embrace their strange powers and use it for good, even though they are often disregarded and looked down upon by the majority of society. One of the most popular and important X-Men storylines was the Dark Phoenix Saga, which ran from January 1980 until October 1980. The storyline was based around Jean Grey and the Phoenix Force. The Saga was adapted into a storyline on the famous 90s animated show and has also been referenced in several X-Men movies. This original X-Men poster from 1986, with a small chunk missing from the corner and pinholes on top of normal wear and tear, shows Jean Grey in all her glory backed up by friends Kitty Pryde, Storm, Cyclops, Collusus, Professor X, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler. Would look great in a frame!
