Vintage 1930s Champion "Shawl V Neck" Sweater

Champion, the sportswear brand we know for their iconic little red and blue C logo, was founded in 1919 a Knickerbocker Knitting Mills.  In the 1930s, the brand changed their name to Champion Knitting Mills and began making sweatshirts. Obviously, they would go on to create the collegiate sweatshirt, the hooded sweatshirt, and the reverse weave, but they did and do more than just that. They are still making clothes to this day, but their classic and vintage designs have never gone out of style. This vintage 1930s Champion knit sweater, with a few small marks and loose threads, features a nice overlapping V-neck style collar that almost resembles a shawl collar and has a vintage Champion Knitting Mills tag with a name sewn in.
