Burning Spirits is used to describe a scene and a sound of Japanese hardcore bands. It refers to a group of bands that play fast, chaotic, and extremely aggressive punk-influenced hardcore and have been doing so for decades now. The name Burning Spirits comes from the annual Japanese tour that began in 1988. In 1999, the tour featured long-running Tetsu Arrey and the post-Death Side band Forward. This original Burning Spirits shirt, nicely faded and worn, is from the 1999 edition of the tour with Tetsu Arrey and Forward.
