Dead Boys are a punk band from Cleveland, OH founded in 1975. They are one of the earliest bands in the genre, helping to codify the sound and style of the scene, especially in the US. While many bands looked violent and strange, Dead Boys had the reputation of actually being so. During their initial run, they released two albums for Sire but split up in 1980 after disagreements with the label on the direction they should take. The group reunited a few times, even after singer Stiv Bators died in Paris in 1990. This original and rare Dead Boys shirt is nicely faded and worn.
