Vintage Miles Davis "The Chicago Jazz Festival '90" T-Shirt

The Chicago Jazz Festival began in 1974. The original concert was held as a way to honor Duke Ellington. He had passed away just a few weeks prior and a group of musicians wanted to get together to pay homage to their hero. 10,000 people came out to support. Ever since, the festival has continued on, drawing huge crowds and bringing out even bigger names. In 1990, Miles Davis, one of the most famous and influential jazz musicians of all time, came out to play and brought along an impressive band: Kenny Garrett, Kei Agaki, Richard Patterson, Ricky Wellman, John "Foley" McReary, Jr., and his Erin Davis. Davis played a set that included numbers from his 80s catalogue as well as renditions of Cyndi Lauper and Michael Jackson songs. It was a legendary night. Sadly, Davis passed away a year later. This original boxy fitting Miles Davis shirt, nicely worn and faded in great condition, is from his appearance at the Chicago Jazz Festival in 1990.
