Bathory were a metal band from Sweden founded in 1983, which makes them one of the first black metal bands ever. They were founded and fronted by Quorthon who led the band for their entire existence until his tragic death in 2004. During their time together, Bathory released 12 albums, including 1988's Blood Fire Death. Their earlier material laid the groundwork for the entire genre of black metal, but by the time the 90s rolled around they found themselves moving towards a new sound that would become classified as viking metal. Blood Fire Death is one of the earliest examples of that style. Bathory was one of the most important and influential bands within metal. This original four-sided Razamataz printed Bathory long sleeve, lightly worn with alterations on the collar and minor fraying on the shoulders, is from the release of the band's fourth album Blood Fire Death.
