You know a tour is extremely long when it spans two years. That kind of extensive, grueling touring is usually reserved for those who have enough celebrity to make it work, and Alice Cooper is certainly one of those musicians. Alice Cooper the band started in Arizona in the 1960s but didn't find success until the band moved to Michigan in the 70s. Starting off the decade with their first hit song "I'm Eighteen" followed up by School's Out and then Billion Dollar Babies, Alice Cooper rose to mainstream success, despite their shocking imagery. Eventually, the band would disband but frontman Vincent Furnier would legally change his name to Alice Cooper and carried on as a solo act in the same vein. In 1986, Cooper released his ninth album Constrictor and began touring in support of it on the Nightmare Returns tour. The band's show in Detroit would be filmed for a VHS/Betamax, released as The Nightmare Tour, and footage would also be used for the "Teenage Frankenstein" music video. This vintage original two-sided thin shirt is from that tour.
