Gatorade was founded in 1965 by a team of scientists at the University Of Florida. The goal was to create a drink that would help refuel the athletes, the Gators, during their games. Two years later, they won the Orange Bowl. A few years later, they sold the drink to Stokely-Van Camp Inc. and the rest is, as they say, history. Now Gatorade is world renowned for their athlete-forward drinks. It's seen at every sporting even and even dumped on the heads of winners to celebrate.
