Livewire was a hardcore record label from the early 2000s that released records by bands like The First Step, Insted, and Kill Verona. Their releases often steered towards an aesthetic that was past-ideas-of-future-technology meets early photoshop — lots of white space and squared off fonts in odd places. But more important than being a record label, Livewire was also a message board. Following in the lineage of early hardcore forums like the Rev Board and Mullet Board, Livewire was a place for hardcore nerdery and, of course, drama. The 1970s Death record was kind of leaked on there, and a screen shot of the exchange on the LWB made it into their A Band Called Death documentary. There were good trades to be had and some funny jokes. The board ended in controversy as trolling became rampant, and nothing has replaced it since. This Livewire hoodie, lightly worn, is in great condition. Wear it and relive the glory days of arguing about something stupid online.
