Gary Panter is an American artist. He has drawn comix since the 1970s and has also been closely tied to the punk scenes, drawing album covers for various underground bands as well as contributing art for Slash. Panter is most well-known for his role as set designer for the iconic television show Pee-Wee's Playhouse. He won three Emmys for his work with the show. Panter is still an active artist to this day, exhibiting across the world and regularly publishing comix.
