Burn "This Is Hardcore 2016" Union Transfer Philadelphia Screenprinted Poster

Burn, the hardcore band from New York City, was founded in 1989, right at the tail end of the second wave of USHC. This was an era when  New York took over as the preeminent hardcore city, thanks in part to CBGB's matinees for hosting the shows and Revelation Records for documenting the bands. As the decade came to a close, the sound of the city was changing and the scene was changing with it. Burn, which  featured Chaka, who had helped put together the very important New Breed compilation, and Gavin, who played in the short-lived Absolution, came with a ferocity and freshness that elevated them to the top almost immediately. They were chaotic and somehow still groovy. During their initial run, they only released one 7", a self-titled EP on Revelation. The band broke up shortly after, but reformed at the turn of the 21st century and released two more EPs. Since then, Burn has gotten back together and remain active to this day. This original Burn poster, in excellent condition, is from their appearance at the This Is Hardcore festival in 2016.
