Camel Cigarettes introduced their mascot, Joe Camel, in 1987. Joe was around for ten years before the company pulled the plug on him simply because he got too popular. Children recognized Joe Camel more than Mickey Mouse. The ads and promotions from the that period feature Joe usually looking cool wearing sunglasses. This vintage Camel shirt, deadstock with a few light marks and spots from prolonged storage, features Joe genuinely riding a motorcycle.
