Vintage Houston Oilers "George Blanda" #16 Pro-Cut Sand Knit Jersey

George Blanda came out of retirement to join the newly formed Houston Oilers in 1960 in the American Football League. His six year tenure featured many highs, and also a few lows. While he threw a record number of interceptions (42), he also had the most touchdown passes (36) and most passing yards (3,330) in 1961 and won two championships (1960 and 1961). Blanda went on to play for the Raiders into the NFL/AFL merger for nearly a decade before retiring at 48, making him the oldest player ever in professional football. This vintage Glen Bland Houston Oilers jersey is in deadstock condition.
