Danzig the band released their debut, self-titled album in 1988. The group had only formed one year earlier but were able to get right to work, which is not surprising knowing that its members had been in some of the best underground bands from the prior decade, like The Misfits, Black Flag, and Samhain. They were signed to the recently formed Def American label by founder Rick Ruben who also produced the album. The album went on to be a classic and features one of their most popular songs in their entire catalog: the hit single "Mother." This original Danzig shirt, nicely worn and faded with a few light marks, is from the 1988 release of their debut self-titled album.
