For a short period of time, from 1991 to 1992, the 96.7 FM dial in Baltimore was a heavy metal station. They even changed their call letters to the amazing WHVY. The station advertised themselves as playing the best in heavy metal, even when grunge was rising into prominence. Maybe that was bad timing on their end. But after only a year in business, the WHVY changed over to broader rock formatting and to a new frequency. This original WHVY 96.7 shirt from the early 1990s is in excellent condition.
