Vintage Salvador Dalí “Les Diners De Gala” First US Edition Book

Notify me when this product is available:

Salvador Dalí was a Spanish surrealist painter. He was known for his twirly mustache and his work with melting clocks and floating cats. This book, however, isn't what you'd expect from the artist of such work. It's not a collection of paintings, it's a cookbook. From the book's sleeve: "'When six years old I wanted to be a cook,' Dalí wrote. He is now sixty eight and his ambition is fulfilled in the shape of a book." The book features recipes for poultry, pork, vegetable, and even snails and frogs and is filled with amazing photos of Dalí and his food. This copy, overall in good condition with edge wear and some markings on the foil of the on the dust jacket, is a first edition from Felicie, Inc. from New York published in 1973.
