Vintage WWII Japanese Embroidered Silk "Souvenir" Tour Jacket

During military service in East Asia, soldiers often purchased sukajans, or souvenir jackets. The silk jackets were made by the Japanese for American soldiers. They quickly took on new meaning once they returned home. People wore the jackets as acts subversively, both in American and in Japan. But while the souvenir jacket's history is interesting and important, it is still a great looking article of clothing. Made with great attention to detail and beautiful colors, the jackets still turn heads to this day. This vintage WWII Japanese embroidered silk souvenir jacket is original with imperfections, mainly faded in the body and has hidden buttons on the front closure. Please review photos before purchasing.
