Turning Point were a straight edge hardcore band from New Jersey. They formed in 1988 and over the course of their short tenure they released a demo, a 7", an LP, and a split, along with a few comp appearances. They started out as a band influenced by Youth Of Today with fast, aggro songs about betrayal but evolved into something all their own as time went on. TP began to incorporate more melodic elements into their music with introspective and vulnerable lyrics. They broke up in 1991 and members went on to play in different bands, but Turning Point only grew in popularity after their split. Nearly a decade after they ceased being a band, Jade Tree and Think Fast! Records released all of their recorded material, including an Ignition cover, and released it as a discography CD and LP. This original Turning Point promotional poster, with wear and fold marks from prolonged storage, is from the release of 1988-1991 in 2000.
