Three 6 Mafia are an Academy Award winning rap group from Memphis, TN. The group included DJ Paul, Juicy J, Lord Infamous, Koopsta Knicca, Crunchy Black, Gangsta Boo as well as a deep crew of friends and affiliates like Project Pat, Scan Man, and La Chat. Three 6 started in the early 90s and combined horror-themed lyrics with slow, dark beats, which became the definitive Memphis sound. By 2000, they were seeing hundreds of thousands of records and rising to be one of the most imitated and respected artists in popular music. They signed to Loud Records in the early 2000s, notably releasing their album Choices: The Album with them.
