The Black Cat was a bar and venue in Austin, TX founded in 1985. Ran by biker Paul and Roberta Sessums, the club was the rebellious home to country, blues, heavy metal, jambands, and funk, and it was literally home to Sessums and his family. They operated on Sixth Street, at 313 E. Sixth to be exact, until 2002, when the club burned down. But for those 17 years, The Black Cat was a crazy and notorious dive bar with great music. This original The Black Cat shirt, nicely worn in great condition, is a great relic from the now-defunct Austin, TX venue and features art drawn by Martian Sessums, the owner's child.
