The Band were a rock band founded in 1967. By the time they became The Band, they had already been playing together in a few different circumstances, like being Bob Dylan's first electric backing band in 1966. But as their own group they quickly became well-loved and influential for their soulful combination of country and rock. During their time together, Robbie Robertson Levon Helm, Rich Danko, Richard Manuel, and Garth Hudson released seven albums together before calling it quits in a final concert that was documented by Martin Scorsese. They reunited a few times after their initial split with varying lineups, including in the 1980s without Robertson. This original The Band shirt from the mid 1980s is lightly worn.
