Soundgarden, the legendary grunge band from Seattle, WA founded in 1984, released their debut album Ultramega OK on the punk label SST in 1988. The group was already well-established in the underground, but with a full-length out on an established label and some more national touring under their belt they began to catch some mainstream attention. They eventually signed to major label A&M Records and became one of the most well-loved and important bands of the grunge scene, selling millions of records across the world. They ended up breaking up in 1997, but ultimately reunited in 2010 In total, they went on to release six albums during their career. Sadly, they ceased activity in 2017 when singer Chris Cornell passed away. This original Soundgarden shirt, nicely worn and faded, is from their debut album Ultramega OK.
