Dan Fouts was the quarterback for the San Diego Chargers for his entire career, 1973 to 1987. He came to California as a backup to Johnny Unitas after a successful college career with the Oregon Ducks. It took a few seasons for Fouts to find his footing, but by the mid 70s he was leading the team and by the late 70s he was leading the league. During his tenure, the Chargers went to playoffs four years in a row. Eventually, after he retired, Fouts's number was retired and he was inducted into the Hall Of Fame, solidifying his places as one of the great QBs in the game. This vintage San Diego Chargers jersey, deadstock with orgiginal tags attached, touts Dan Fouts's number, #14.
