In 2003, Metallica released their eighth studio album St. Anger. It was their first album after the departure of Jason Newsted on bass. The recording process was tumultuous and contentious, as seen in their 2004 documentary Some Kind of Monster. Producer Bob Rock, who Metallica had worked with Metallica for over a decade, was fired by the band after the release of the record. Robert Trujillo, bassist of Suicidal Tendencies, joined the band and made his debut on the Madly In Anger With The World Tour. That tour lasted an entire year and hit over 100 cities. This vintage Metallica shirt, nicely faded in great condition featuring art from frequent Metallica collaborator Pushead, is from the second North American leg of the tour.
