In 1990, Washington DC Mayor Marion Barry was arrested on drug charges. Barry had a successful career up until that point and it was threatened to be dismantled due to his arrest. During the same time, politician and general Manuel Noriega, the ruler of Panama during the 80s, was also serving a prison sentence on drug charges. When asked about how his living conditions compared to Noreiga's in prison, Barry answered, "Sounds like Noriega is in the Waldorf-Astoria. I guess you could say that I'm kind of at the Days Inn." This vintage political cartoon tee, in excellent condition, depicts Marion Barry and Manuel Noriega serving time together for the same reason.
