Maxell is a Japanese electronics company. While they have made many different products, they were well-regarded and -known for their production of cassette tapes. Those blanks tapes were used by everyone from fans to bands themselves to share and spread music. Maxell still manufactures cassettes to this day, even though it is not the preferred medium of music sharing anymore. One such place to purchase Maxell tapes was the small chain Chapter 3 Records, which had locations throughout the southeast in the late 1970s including a notable location in Altanta, GA. This original Maxell ringer shirt from Chapter 3 Records is lightly worn with a few marks from prolonged storage.
