The Los Angeles Kings are a professional hockey team founded in 1967. The team has won two Stanley Cups, in 2012 and 2014. The Kings were notably home to the legendary Wayne Gretzky from 1988 until 1996, when Gretzky led the team to their first Stanley Cup appearance. Gretzky's term also coincided with the team's colors changing from Lakers' purple and gold to Raiders' silver and black. They currently play at the Staples Center.
