In 1989, Brown Concert Agency, BrownUniversity's student run concert planning organization, hosted their annual event: Spring Weekend Music Festival. They've had the event for decades and hosted famous artists, up-and-comers, and everything in between during their long tenure. Some musicians that have played the event are: Ms. Lauryn Hill, Snoop Dogg, A Tribe Called Quest, U2, Ray Charles, Janis Joplin, and James Brown. In 1989, they hosted Little Feat, the post Frank Zappa funky country rock band; Tom Tom Club, the post Talking Heads danceable new wave group; and Treat Her Right, the Boston-based cowpunk band. This original 1989 Spring Weekend shirt from Brown University is in great condition with a few light marks.
