Originally formed as Raw Deal, Killing Time were a staple band of the late 80s NYHC scene. They smashed CBGBs up regularly, playing hard and angry music that made moshers mosh and divers dive. They released their debut album Brightside on In Effect in 1989. The album has gone on to be considered a classic. It helped codify the sound that we now know as New York Hardcore: it was tough and mean sounding but the songs were still expertly crafted and played with impressive proficiency. Hardcore no longer had to be amateur. The band recorded a follow up, 1997's The Method which largely flopped. After many years of inactivity, the band got back together in the early 00s and has stayed playing since, even recording another record. This original Killing Time long sleeve, in great condition with an imperfection on the sleeve noted in the photos, is a classic design from the band that features a nod to their earliest incarnation.
