Tom Boyle was a vert skater from the early 90s. He rode for Mike Ternasky's influential company H Street after a stint with World Industries (check out his post-credit part in Rubbish Heap). The company and the team almost focused mainly on street skating, which was becoming the more popular style. As the 80s boom broke, vert skating became nearly obsolete. But thanks in part to Boyle and a few others, skating a halfpipe didn't have to be a nostalgic activity trying to harken back to the glory days, it could be innovative and exciting. Boyle was doing front foot impossibles, front board reverts, and huge blunt slides. Sadly, Boyle passed away in 2016, but his skating still endures and inspires to this day. This original Tom Boyle H Street shirt, with wear and fade, features an illustration from his 1991 pro model.
