Frida Kalho was an artist from Mexico born in 1907. A lifelong communist, Kalho combined traditional Mexican folk art with autobiographical subject matter as a way to discuss postcolonial and Marxist ideas through her paintings. Kahlo passed away at age 47 but left behind an impressive body of work that is still just as relevant and important, as the Chicano, feminist, and LGBQ+ communities have all championed her work. This vintage Frida Kalho shirt from 1991, in excellent condition, features a portrait, done by Renée Moreno, of Frida.
