Burning Spirits is used to describe a scene and a sound of Japanese hardcore bands. It refers to a group of bands that play fast, chaotic, and extremely aggressive punk-influenced hardcore and have been doing so for decades now. The name Burning Spirits comes from the annual Japanese tour that began in 1988. In 1993, the tour featured a legendary lineup: Death Side and Bastard. Both bands were from Tokyo and released some of the most records of the entire scene, maybe even the world. They were aggressive and unforgiving and are still revered as some of the best bands to ever play hardcore to this day. This original single stitch Burning Spirits tour shirt, with some pinholes in great condition, is from the 1993 tour edition that featured Death Side and Bastard.
