Cro-Mag's Age Of Quarrel, their 1986 debut on Profile Records, is a landmark hardcore release. Over 15 songs and 30-some-odd minutes, singer John Joseph, bassist Harley Flanagan, guitarists Parris Mayhew and Doug Holland, and drummer Mackie Jayson basically rewrote all the rules. Hardcore was still aggressive and angry and hard, but they wrote songs. There was a musicality to these tracks that focused the energy into memorable choruses and hard mosh parts which has since become an often attempted and usually unmet goal of hardcore bands. This late 90s Cro-Mags shirt, with signs of wear, features the iconic album art to The Age Of Quarrel.
