In 2004, the Cannes Film Festival was in its 57th year. The French fest has long been known as one of the most significant festivals in the cinema world. In 2004, the Palm d'Or went to Michael Moore's documentary Fahrenheit 9/11, which tells the story of how American media was complacent in the invasion of Iraq in 2003. The movie is still the only documentary to ever win the highest honors at Cannes. This original Cannes Film Festival shirt, lightly worn, is from the 2004 edition.
