Vintage Braid T-Shirt

Braid are an emo band from Champaign, IL. They were founded in 1993 and help cement the sound of midwest emo, a mix of wiry guitars, chaotic rhythms, and vulnerable lyrics with memorable melodies. They recorded and toured VFW Halls and houses making a name for themselves alongside contemporaries like The Get Up Kids, but in 1998 they released their third LP, Frame & Canvas on Polyvinyl. The album's release saw the band reach a new level of popularity, becoming one of the most popular bands in the scene. However, they split up a year after its release due to burnout from years of touring. They reunited once in 2004 but got back for good in 2011, even recording a new album along the way. This original Braid shirt from the late 90s is nicely worn and faded, and was dyed a brown-ish color from what may have been a pink shirt although the original color is hard to capture.
