Vintage Blind Skateboards "Mark Gonzales" T-Shirt

Notify me when this product is available:

Blind Skateboards was founded in 1988. The company was started as an offshoot to World Industries by Steve Rocco. World were rabble rousing underdogs, and Blind was no exception. Rocco partnered with Mark Gonzales who had just left his former sponsor, Vision, and the name Blind was chosen as a direct diss to them. Blind quickly built a team, moving up and comer Jason Lee over from World and picking up up Rudy Johnson and Guy Mariano from Powell. The team was diverse and impressive, showing technical and stylish street skating skills unlike anything before them. They showcased this ability in the legendary full-length video Video Days which was released in 1991 and directed and filmed by Spike Jonze, yes the same Spike Jonze that went on to later win Academy Awards. The original Blind team fell apart shortly after its release. The company has continued onto into the current day, albeit with a different team and identity completely. This original Blind Skateboards shirt, nicely faded in great condition, is from the early days of the legendary company.
