Alice In Chains are a grunge band from Seattle, WA founded in 1987. The band, which was formed by singer Layne Staley and guitarist Jerry Cantrell, found fast success. They were signed by Columbia Records before they ever even had an official release. AIC released their debut,Facelift, in 1990. The album was certified Gold, and after that, the band's rise only continued. They released two more albums and many singles, including the song "Would" from the Singles soundtrack, but ultimately began to have issues with Staley's drug use. Eventually, his addiction forced the band to go on hiatus with minimal activity until Staley tragically died from an overdose in 2002. The band split up. However, in 2005, AIC got back together and recruited William Duvall to sing. They have been active ever since, consistently releasing new albums and touring. This original Alice In Chains shirt, cut and heavily worn with fraying and fading, features a nice reference to the band's hit song "Would."
