Step Forward "Boston Straight Edge" T-Shirt

Notify me when this product is available:

Step Forward was a straight edge hardcore band from Boston, MA. The band was founded in 2006 by members of Mental, Mind Eraser, Look Alive, and Have Heart with simple goals: play early USHC influenced hardcore. That means the songs were short and hard with plenty of mosh parts and the lyrics straight forward. They were an anomaly for the time though. They weren't really youth crew. They weren't really demo core. And they had solos. All of these things made them one of the most interesting and exciting bands of their time. Originally, though, they weren't going to be called Step Forward. The band's original name was actually Loud And Clear, a reference to the legendary Abused 7". Unbeknownst to them, though, a band in Belgium, a side project of Justice actually, already took that name right as they were starting. So they settled on Step Forward and moved forward, releasing a 7" in 2006 and one more in 2014 before breaking up in the mid 2010s. They still referenced that name on record release covers and shirts from time to time, though. This original Step Forward shirt, with wear in excellent condition, is an early design from the Boston straight edge band.
