Sonic Youth, the New York City noisy alternative rockers, released Experimental Jet Set, Trash And No Star in 1994. It was their eighth full length album, and third with major label DGC. After spending a decade ruling the underground, the four piece made the jump to the big leagues and produced records the blurred the lines between their earlier, artier material and things that were breaking through into the mainstream. Experimental Jet Set, which was produced by Butch Vig, furthered that approach, writing songs that were reminiscent of their earlier material, even recording it at the same studio that they did Sister at, but also including some new and strange ideas. This original Sonic Youth poster, with a missing corner as well as edgewear and general wear through, is from the 1994 release of Experimental Jet Set, Trash And No Star.
