Shonen Knife are a punk band from Japan founded in 1981. Now, over four decades later, the band has never stopped making music and have always been led by guitarist/singer Naoko Yamano. In the early 1990s, they began to gain some recognition outside of Japan thanks in part to the legendary band Nirvana and their singer Kurt Cobain. Shonen Knife opened for Nirvana on a European tour and their album Burning Farm on his all time favorites list. Regardless of the changing tides, they are always playing their fast and melodic punk. This original Shonen Knife glossy promo photo from 1993 with a photo by Yuu Kamimaki is in excellent condition.
