Scream was a hardcore band from Washington, DC formed in 1981. The band, led by brothers Peter and Franz Stahl, released five LPs, mostly on Dischord Records, over the course of the 1980s. A notable and oft quoted fact about the band is that a young Dave Grohl joined the band for a short period of time before he was in Nirvana. You don't see nearly as many people talking about how he had an Underdog sticker on his drum set during that time. The last record before Grohl joined the band, though, was 1986's Banging The Drum which was released on Dischord. The record was recorded between Southern Studios in England with John Loder and Inner Ear Studios with Don Zientara. This original Scream glow in the dark tour shirt, nicely faded in good condition, is from the their 1987 fall tour in support of Banging The Drum and features a great graphic of a skeleton, literally, banging a drum.
