Shaquille O'Neal was drafted first by the Orlando Magic in 1992. Both he and the team were new, and both were also rising stars. Amongst Penny Hardaway and Horace Grant, O'Neal took the Magic to their first Finals appearance in 1995. Shaq left the Magic in 1996 and went on, of course, to a very successful career with the Lakers and Heat before moving on to an equally successful career as a sportscaster.
