The Million Woman March was held on October 25, 1997 in Philadelphia, PA. The march, which was organized by and focused on Black women, drew inspiration from the Million Man March which happened two years prior in Washington, DC. The MWM included a messages from activists to entertainers to politicians, with a note from Assatta Shakur being read and speeches from people like Sista Souljah, and Jada Pinket Smith among many others. Over 500,000 people attended the march. This vintage shirt, in great condition, celebrates the march and its message.
