Madball formed in the late 1980s with Freddy Cricien, Roger Miret's younger brother, would sing songs with Agnostic Front. Freddy was a pre-teen and signing with New York's hardest band. The band started as an AF side project but quickly became its own, with Hoya Roc, Matt Henderson, and Will Shepler rounding out the lineup. Madball released their first LP,Set It Off, in 1994 and toured and released music constantly through the end of the decade. In 2000, the band released Hold It Down on Epitaph, their fourth LP. After the release of HID, Madball broke up in 2001. But thankfully for us, they got back together almost right away in 2002 and have continued on ever since. This original Madball poster, with tearing and creasing, is from the release of Hold It Down in 2001.
