Omaha, NE's Zoo was founded in 1894. In the mid 20th century, the zoo was improved and expanded, thanks in part to a generous donation from Margaret Hitchcock Doorly in honor of her late husband, Henry Doorly. The zoo was renamed in his honor in 1963. Since then, the Henry Doorly Zoo has become one of the best and most notable zoos in the United States, offering the largest cat exhibit, one of the world's largest indoor deserts, and much more. The Zoo annually welcomes about 2 million visitors and is Nebraska's top paid tourist attraction. This vintage Henry Doorly Zoo shirt from 1998, in great condition, features a great picture of a hiding Western lowland gorilla from their Hubbard Gorilla Valley exhibit.
