Guided By Voices are a band from Dayton, OH founded in 1983 by a school teacher and his friends. After nearly ten years of only playing locally, GBV broke through in the early 90s and found their way to signing with Matador Records and earning a reputation as one of the best and most prolific underground rock bands. In 1993, the band released The Grand Hour, a six-song EP on Scat Records shortly before the release of their album Bee Thousand and included some songs from that album. The 7" did not come out on Rockathon Records, even though singer Bob Pollard ran that label. Guided By Voices have continued on ever since despite some short break ups. This original Guided By Voices shirt, lightly worn and faded, is from the 1993 release of The Grand Hour.
