Vintage Daniel Johnston "Continued Story" Flyer

Notify me when this product is available:

Daniel Johnston was a singer songwriter from Austin, TX. He began writing and releasing music under his own name in the early 1980s. He recorded tapes and would hand them out at the McDonald's that he worked in. Johnston had an outsider, folky style and produced lo-fi recordings creating a style that was all his own. He was prolific, making a record a year for over a decade, and would also adorn his records with his own art. Most of his early work was self-released but he was eventually signed to Stress Records and ultimately worked his way up to major label Atlantic for one record. The last Johnston tape he released on his own was 1985's Continued Story. It was eventually re-released by Stress and later released on LP by Homestead in the early 1990s. His work became somewhat of a cult classic, thanks in part to Kurt Cobain wearing his t-shirt. Sadly, Johnston passed away in 2019 at the age of 58. This original Daniel Johnston flyer with original art, in great condition with a center crease and some general wear, is an advertisement for his tape Continued Story.
