Chain Of Strength was a hardcore band from the Inland Empire in California. They formed in 1988 and released two 7"s before breaking up, 1988's True Till Deathreleased on Revelation Records and 1990's What Holds Us Apart on Foundation Records. Chain played a style of hardcore that was influenced by early Dischord bands but they did so with a Southern California aesthetic: bleached hair and beach bods and Bold shirts. Chain had some controversy throughout their career for their straight edge, or lack thereof. Regardless if "True Till Death" is about straight edge or just about hardcore, they wrote some songs and made some shirts that would go on to be classics. This original 90s Chain of Strength shirt, in great condition, is a design Revelation Records made in support of the release of the band's discography, The One Thing That Still Holds True, which was released in 1995.
