The California Raisins were created by an advertising company in the mid 1980s to sell raisins. Despite the silliness of the campaign, or maybe because of it, the raisins became a national sensation. And because of their ubiquity, they became a great point of parody. Enter the California Prunes. Sure they look similar to raisins but they're different, and their fibrous context makes for some good puns. This vintage California Raisins shirt, in great condition, is from the 80s.
