Alice Cooper the band started in Arizona in the 1960s but didn't find success until they moved to Michigan in the 70s. Starting off the decade with their first hit song "I'm Eighteen," Alice Cooper rose to mainstream success, despite their shocking imagery. By the middle of the decade, though, the band had left. All that remained was Vincent Furnier, the singer. So he legally changed his name to Alice Cooper and made the band his solo project. His first record as solo Alice Cooper was Welcome To My Nightmare, released by Atlantic in 1975. And his insistence to keep the band moving was the right decision. The record went to #5 in the US and has since been certified Platinum. This original baby blue Alice Cooper shirt from the mid 1970s, with a few light marks and spots, features the album art from his debut album Welcome To My Nightmare.
